I called Libby Camps to talk about my October plans for guiding there and learned that they were selected "Orvis Fly Fishing Lodge of the year" for 2006 at the Orvis Rendezvous on April 4th, in Warm Springs Virginia . The Libby Family and crew were honored with the distinction. The award is given to the most outstanding lodge of all of the Orvis lodges in North America. I am proud to be working with such great folks and am pleased to see them recognized for their outstanding operation. Congratulations Matt and Ellen and Matt Jr. and Jess a well deserved recognition of a job well done for over 100 years.
Today’s weather forecast is almost a repeat of a week ago. Snow mixing with rain with up to ten inches of new accumulation. What an April it has turned out to be! I am sure that this is because I am dying to get a new canoe overboard for its first trip. I guess that I will have to wait a little longer.
