Snowing lightly this morning and warmer than it has been for a while. The noon temperature is almost 30 degrees. We are forecast to get a few inches of snow tomorrow hopefully enough to make cross country skiing possible. It would be nice to get out on my skis a few times this winter.
I am having trouble getting to work this morning after a couple of long days of meetings and travel. Tuesday just lined up with back to back events in Augusta all interesting and productive but I left the house a little before 7 in the morning and returned at around 9PM. Yesterday I attended a course on web site analytics in Portlandwith Rich Brooks of Flyte New Media. I have been tracking my web site traffic since I launched four years ago and made the switch to Google Analytics exclusively at the first of the year. I had hoped that Rich could take me further than I was with the tool in terms of drawing conclusions about my visitors and what they are looking for. The course was pretty thorough but focused on the how to rather than the analysis that I was looking for. Still I had no trouble driving down or back, found a parking space right out front with time on the meter and enjoyed realizing that I know a little bit about web marketing. A nice realization for sure.
I always fear that I am missing something in marketing my business or that the content I deliver in my Guides Seminars is not relevant or dated. The good news is that I am pretty much on track and my seminar is as relevant as I think it is. Not to mention that being priced competitively.
