The rain resulting from Hurricane Katrina went by today. We have had some rain but not a lot. Mostly you notice the warm humid air and the fog. We have been very lucky compared with other regions of the country on this one. The rain sure came down yesterday but it was notable because it was warm not the usual rain storm here.
Fishing yesterday was excellent almost everywhere that I went. My clients caught fish steadily and were very happy with their trip. When I returned to the harbor I called my son and asked him to come down and fish with me. I went out and fished while waiting and caught a couple dozen stripers while waiting and then when my son and his friends arrived we had good but not great fishing. I guess that it was too much to ask for it to last all day.
I am off today because no one wanted to fish in the rain, I can’t wait to get
