It has been quite winter that is for sure record cold and unusual amounts of snow. The banks are still shoulder high along the roads when we walk in the morning. The last few days though the temperatures have been a little higher and the road in front of the office has been muddy a sure sign of spring! Every morning now the birds are singing loudly and the finches are checking out the garage in earnest so surely spring can’t be far off.
To support that thought I have a delivery date for the new Lund Alaskan at the end of this month. There is still the question of whether the snow will have melted enough to get it into the yard. With luck though the previous one will be sold by then and there will be that open slot in the snowbank. Calls are coming in frequently asking for the details about the boat and motor. I suppose an interest in new boats is also a sure sign of spring.
With luck it won’t be long until we are all back on the water enjoying warm days.
