One perfect morning!

As luck would have it a group canceled at Libby Camps this week and I was able to spend a few extra days at home. Yesterday I exercised the dogs in a local grouse cover, yes we found a few birds. It is always a treat to work with the dogs when they are at the top of their game late in the season.

This morning was cloud free without a breath of wind and warm enough to fish. I loaded the Lund and headed for Megunticook Lake in Camden. Where the water level is quite low but the scenery was spectacular and there were a few fish interested in my fly. Not a record breaking morning by any stretch but a great time on the water. At some level I wish that I had a client to appreciate it but really deep down I am delighted to have the time to myself to do a little fall fishing!
