Changing Environment

A veiw over the stern of the Lund on our way homeI read this morning that Maine falls have gotten warmer over the last twenty or so years according to weather records. I don’t have any data but from where I sit that is the case. If you have nothing to do and reach back a long way in this blog you will see me writing about a few warm days in October in the north Maine Woods.

The season is not over

It has slowed down though. There are trees changing to red here and there along the lakes and water temperatures have dropped from their summer highs. This is a seasonal business no doubt but there are seasons within seasons. For instance in the last two weeks I have enjoyed time with several fly fishing parties, some learning to fly fish and some accomplished anglers.
