Rainy Stretch

Our current stretch of weather has been very wet that is for sure. A friend who raises strawberries in Warren reported 3.5 inches of rain in 24 hours and an apple farmer in Southern Maine reported over 23 inches of rain for June so far. All we can do is hope that it is not a repeat of the summer of 2009 that was an almost total wash out.

I posted a list of ten good things about a wet summer that might be worth revisiting if the current weather pattern holds. Next week’s calendar is getting full a little pleasant weather would add to the fun. On a positive note this weekend’s forecast calls for sunny and warm. Almost perfect summer weather; let’s hope that it is right!
