Grateful!

I am grateful to be able to live in Maine and spend my days as a working guide showing others just how amazing it is. Maine is a geographically large and diverse state and last Friday sure made that point for me. I spent the morning with a family from upstate New York in the dense coastal fog catching mackerel, watching seals, amazing them that I could find my way around and by supper I was at a remote sporting camp in the North Maine Woods with native brook trout, moose and bear.

Today is my birthday and for the first time in many years I have the day off. Not to worry I have plenty to do wash the Yukon (already done), run errands, write thank you notes to last week’s clients, set the Lund up for tomorrow mornings trip and several things to write. So the day will not be spent lounging around.

Argy and I were able to get a way for a couple of days to Libby Camps to celebrate. As we drove in the 20 miles of dirt road to camp I was simply amazed at how different my day had been from start to finish. I hope that you take some time to experience the diverse Maine outdoors.
