Thunderstorm this afternoon

Thunderstorms are not frequent in this part of the world but we do have them. I have stopped three trips so far this summer with a thunderstorm on the horizon. This afternoon started out nice enough even if a little windier than predicted. I was on the saltwater part of the Saint George and could clearly see this storm coming from a very long way off. When I told my client that his trip was over, he resisted but I offered the next afternoon as a substitute and he readily agreed. The real story is that when I got back in the harbor there was a sort of a rush with the clammers and others who work on the water eager to get out of the way of the impending storm.

Except for one recreational fisherman who was intent on launching his boat. The second time this summer I have seen this happen. What could they be thinking?
