The last few days have been more than warm enough for me. No fan of the heat in the first place I am ready to spend my days in the cellar when temperatures are in the eighties, today it is ninety in the office with the fan running. I tell folks that we have ten days in the winter when it is too cold to go outside and tend days in the summer when it is too hot to go outside, these are a few of those ten. It is summer though and I actually get to spend my days on an adventure of some sort.
This week I have been on several father and son trips. One group of four fathers and their sons have done some sort of camping trip together for seventeen years. Amazing and a load of fun to be their guide. Most had never really done any fishing and were very appreciative of the entire experience which adds a lot to the adventure for me. From seeing loons up close to appreciating the colors of the different species of fish I enjoyed seeing my world from their perspective.
More saltwater trips are in the calendar for next week and it is almost always cool out on the salt. I am looking forward to those family mackerel and striper trips!
