Another big snowstorm formed out at sea over the weekend. We were not close enough to get a lot of snow instead we got wind! Even now a day later the wind is still up moaning 
through the trees making this bright sunny day seem frigid.
Everyone on a Maine Outdoors trip wants to see a moose and in fact over the years a few clients have seen one with me. Moose are not plentiful in this part of the state as they are on other areas. The moose population has been a topic of discussion for many years and recently the Maine Department Inland Fisheries and Wildlife has been using a new helicopter survey method.
Officially two feet by 4PM on Saturday but the snow was light and dry. Making for some really impressive drifts. It is still snowing a little and the wind blowing at 9PM. Argy and I went out and shoveled a path to the garage to bring in firewood late in the day. We 
also dug out the outside entrances to the office and mudroom. I had shoveled the dog kennels earlier in the afternoon and even put the dogs out for a few hours (certainly not their idea).
