Who would have imagined that the weather in November was so nice that I would want to do a fishing report. It has been that nice and the fishing is worth talking about. In the last few days I have fished on Seven
Tree Pond here in Union and Megunticook Lake in Camden. Bass were cooperative in both and all of a nice size. The pickerel are pretty active and the pike in Seven Tree as well.
I’m getting close to the end of the season. Not yet over for me but getting close enough to think about the early winter chores. The sunrise is now far enough to the south that we see it from the house and today’s was spectacular. I have a few more reservations but by Thanksgiving it is usually too chilly to fish comfortably, but this week is forecast to be in the 60’s every day and not too cold at night. Our spectacular fall continues.
I have been pretty much under the weather for about a week now. What I get for attending a conference in Portland last week. No COVID thankfully but what I would describe as a killer cold started in my chest and now migrated to my head. No fun to be sure I had to cancel a few trips and have not been out with the dogs as much as I planned but still managed to get in a little time on the water and out with the dogs.
