This is the season I look forward to all year. Cool nights and warm days with nowhere enough rain in the forecast. Mornings can be very foggy but it is usually gone by 9 leaving a clear sky and bright sunshine.
The mid coast is not as busy and everyone (including me) is enjoying the more relaxed pace. Fishing picks up as water temperatures begin to drop. Stripers in the saltwater give us a last flurry before heading south for the winter in early October. The freshwater fish also sense the shortening days and cooler water temperatures and get a lot more active before the ice covers things over.
Of course we all know what is eventually coming. We are ready. Our wood is already stacked in the garage and we are scheduled to have a solar electric system installed in a couple of weeks complete with a battery backup! The plan is that we will not experience another power outage again. Fingers crossed!
Feel free to write or call to make your reservation to create some outdoor memories or make one online here to enjoy some time on the water in the fall season!
Best regards,
