Arthur went by well to our south and east but brought us plenty of water. On the upside he took away the thin soup that was passing for air last week.
The Saint George River is about two feet above where it was a few days ago. As you would expect water temperatures plummeted and those fish are in a funk! Lucky for me we have other places to fish that are not so affected by the rainfall. Overall freshwater fishing has been excellent for the last month as you will see from the articles in this newsletter.
The saltwater remains spotty; one great day followed by an off day or two. Mackerel arrived last week heralding warmer water temperatures and more consistent fishing over the coming weeks.
So once the water levels drop a bit and the wind calms we are set up for an excellent summer and pleasure of many trips with old friends like you.

Great way to spend a rainy morning! |
 What a stretch of weather! Summer arrived with little fanfare but delivered a nice stretch of weather for us to enjoy. I count seven days with perfect temperatures low humidity and almost cloud free skies. This morning the breeze came up out of the south as the tide started to fall making this afternoon one of the coolest of the stretch.

Change of Season
It happened last week while I was not even thinking about it my season changed and things will be different from now to the second week in August. The weather you ask? Where the fish are? The loon chicks hatched?
