Most mornings on the lower Saint George are beautiful and I always report that at home but there is nothing like seeing it firsthand. We had my brother and sister in-law visit last weekend which prompted a seal watching trip on the river.
We left early (well sort of) around 7AM and were rewarded with no wind which made it possible to see not only seals but many harbor porpoises. The porpoises were especially cooperative surfacing near the boat from quite some time very close to the boat.
We also saw ospreys and eagles on the way back to the harbor. A grand morning out and it was a treat to show family members what I experience almost every day.
