We have had two foggy rainy dreary days this week. On the upside I have been forced to sit at my
 desk and get some of that work complete. Not my favorite part of what I do but inside and dry. If the weather forecasters are right we are back to pretty summer weather by noon tomorrow and I will back on the water for another ten day stretch.
This summer has been enjoyable because of the variety of different trips we have been on. The next few days are a good example striper fishing, trout fishing, bass fishing and a little time in a canoe. There is still time for you to make a reservation for this summer but I have already noticed that i need to turn on the light when I get up in the morning. Those long days of late June are already past.
We are clearly headed in the other direction. Don't miss the season it will be gone all too quickly.

 I like to be remindedToday I was fishing with a couple from Texas, they vacation here every summer but up until now have stayed on the coast. Yes they had driven inland some but not really spent any time outdoors like they did today. |
 Mid-summer fishing news The week that I wait all year for is here. The bass are taking dragonflies on the surface of our local ponds. I spent this morning on Megunticook Lake in Camden and after a little time figuring out the right color and getting the leader long enough the fishing was fabulous.

Mid-July striper fishing
This week has me on the saltwater almost every day mostly striper fishing although a few mackerel will make it into the mix. The report is that yes there are stripers in the Saint George River. I am finding them scattered throughout the river. Not the big numbers of years gone by but enough to keep it interesting.
