The summer has hit its full stride, and I am enjoying every minute. Busy enough to be sure and seeing lots of repeat clients along with a few new ones. The most remarkable thing about this season is the number of returning clients who I have not seen in a while. One of my favorite examples is a young man who booked a trip for he and his wife. I had not seen him since he was a boy of maybe 13 great fun to see him 15 years later. Stories like that are the theme of this summer along with many other repeat clients. Great fun to be sure!
My calendar while not stuffed full is on an easy path to my normal number of days on the water for a season (around 130 days by seasons end). Allowing for an occasional day off and some time to enjoy the Maine summer with Argy. We have already been to McLoons on Spruce Head a few times for lobster rolls by the harbor, a great summer treat.
Argy is very busy this summer planning our town’s 250th anniversary celebration. You can see some of the details on the Union Historical Society’s website. Plenty to do and see. Please come by if you are in the area July 19, 20 or 21. It will be a great event.
We made it through the first hot spell in a while last week. National Weather Service called it a heat wave and we had not had one for two years. We are still in the early summer unsettled weather pattern with thunderstorms to remind us that things are changing. I have been lucky and so far only chased from the water on one trip although a few trips were luckily scheduled to end at the right time. Soon enough we will be in the more settled mid-summer pattern that makes being on the water a pleasure every day.
Feel free to write or call to make your reservation to create some outdoor memories or make one online here to enjoy some time on the water for the coming season!
