Freezing rain, snow and sleet this morning but it is forecast to be all rain by afternoon. The wind is out of the southeast at fifteen or so, a cold and damp uncomfortable day by any measure. A great day to be working inside luckily I am in the office most of the day working on a few projects. The bird feeder is full and attracting a crowd of chickadees filling up before the storm really gets going. This week I have been experimenting with Google Docs for use with in tracking the legislation I follow for the Maine Bowhunters Association and the Maine Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. So far it seems like an excellent tool for providing everyone with information while allowing me to share updating responsibilities with an intern based at the College of the Atlantic a hundred miles away. The test will be when things start to happen quickly and regular updates need to be done more frequently. I am a member of this years Mid Coast Leadership Academy held at the University of Maine At Belfast. We are taking advantage of Google groups as a way to collaborate on a project. It is interesting to see different reactions and level of confidences in an online application. Some are engaged and others may as well not have an internet connection. On top of all of that I think that this program attracts folks who are already pretty busy so learning a new technology seems like a huge barrier to some
