My Role with the Maine Professional Guides Association
I've served as the Executive Director of the Maine Professional Guides Association for the last three years and enjoyed the work very much. It is a good fit with my guiding and an excellent group to represent. This fall the legislative liaison for the Association retired and I will be adding those duties to my Executive Director role.
What will this mean to you? Maine Outdoors will be reducing the variety of trips available; for example winter snowshoe trips will be missing from the list. Small business seminars for other Maine Guides will not be offered in person this winter. The early spring season will be much busier with me spending considerable time in the state capital instead of on the water so last minute trips will be harder to arrange.
Once we pass the middle of May there should be little change in availability or trips available. As always the fall will be very busy with October an especially busy month. You can check for open dates here if you are thinking about a trip in the coming season.
