Transitions

Last evening we attended the high school graduation of our oldest son. It was a proud moment for his parents, family and friends to see him walk across that stage. He is making great progress toward becoming a fine young adult. I was impressed with the number and amounts of scholarships that were presented in the last few days. From a small rural community like ours the money given to these kids is amazing; the total was on the order of $450,000. If you consider that there are five towns in the district it is over $75,000 per town annually donated to our collective futures.

But as I worked my way down river there were fish in good numbers nothing thrilling like bait driven to the surface but steady fishing.

The river above the harbor was running quite brown and dirty from the thunderstorms last night. The fish were still there but moved some from where they have been holding.
