Prettiest days of the year!

September and October have always been my favorite time of year and the last couple of days made the point. After several hot a humid days last week the weather broke with thunderstorms and clearing skies.

The last couple of days have been picture perfect clear blue skies and not much wind. I was fortunate enough to fish both days. Yesterday was good fishing after a slow start but this morning started off slow and only got slower. Was it the cold overnight? Or perhaps the full moon? Either way we were fortunate to land a few fish including this nice smallmouth bass taken on the surface. Luckily AJ and I are fishing together a couple more mornings before he goes home and I am sure we will bring more fish to teh boat.

Still you can’t beat the weather for being outdoors just look at that sky. The next few weeks will be some of the best all year; get out and enjoy it!
