First Fish!
Nature Exploration Canoe Trips have been popular for the last couple of weeks. On some of those trips I make it a point to catch a few fish and today’s trip was no exception. It took some trying but a few fish eventually cooperated.

The last few days have been more than warm enough for me. No fan of the heat in the first place I am ready to spend my days in the cellar when temperatures are in the eighties, today it is ninety in the office with the fan running. I tell folks that we have ten days in the winter when it is too cold to go outside and tend days in the summer when it is too hot to go outside, these are a few of those ten. It is summer though and I actually get to spend my days on an adventure of some sort.
I have been hearing rumors of stripers in the Saint George and after a great morning on the Kennebec with Captain George Harris on Tuesday I was pretty excited to give it a try. The good news is that yes there are a few the bad news is that for the moment it is like the last few summers the fish are spotty and take a lot of effort to find.
