Yesterday was the annual meeting of the Maine Tourism Association. After two years as the Chair of the Board of Directors I was termed out. As a parting gift the Association recognizes the outgoing chair with what else? A chair (rocking) built by WA Mitchell here in Maine. Actually an 1842 High Back Arm Rocker in cherry and ash; nicely engraved with the Association logo and my name on the back.
So I decided to try it out this afternoon and yes it works perfectly. I will be ordering a longer handled net and am removing the seat that I normally sit in. I should be all set to guide well past 75. I have enjoyed my time as chair of this distinguished organization very much. Thank you all!
