Yesterday I guided a pair of anglers on Megunticook Lake in Camden. After last Friday’s rain the lake has come up a full eighteen inches and the water temperature fell five degrees. A strong west wind blew at times up to thirty miles per hour. Needless to say fishing was slow!
Spent the last days of September fishing in the North Maine Woods for native brook trout. The trout are getting ready to spawn and are in beautiful fall colors. We had one male fish with a kype (hooked jaw) and caught good numbers of fish.
Saturday Argy and I went to the Common Ground Country Fair in Unity. A warm fall day but the color in the leaves seemed like it changed in the time we were at the fair. With much less green showing in the afternoon.
