We got about a foot of fresh snow during the day yesterday. The forecast was for a few inches and that the snow would taper quickly as the storm pulled away.

The Mike Sabins Memorial Youth Fish & Game Association will hold a “Hooked on Fishing” ice fishing event sponsored by Inland Fisheries and Wildlife on Saturday, February 23rd on Seven Tree Pond at Ayer Park, Route #235 in Union from 10 am – 2 pm. Instruction, equipment, and refreshments will be provided. There is no fee to attend. Please plan to come and have some family fun in the Maine outdoors.

Another big snowstorm formed out at sea over the weekend. We were not close enough to get a lot of snow instead we got wind! Even now a day later the wind is still up moaning through the trees making this bright sunny day seem frigid.
