I write mostly about my life as a guide and my observations of the Maine Outdoors. In reality though I have another facet of what I do. I am proud to be the Executive Director of the Maine Professional Guides Association. In that role I represent the association and guides in a lot of amazing places. This January has been busy and has already taken me to a variety of places.
Being in business for twenty six years gives Maine Outdoors some nice advantages. Foremost is a long list of happy clients many of them giving great reports or compliments about 
their time in the Maine Outdoors.
Winter is off to a quick start here. A couple of snowstorms one right after another between Christmas and New Year’s followed by clear cold weather. Not record breaking but cold enough that you notice. Gone are the carefree mornings of walking out to get the newspaper at the end of the driveway without a jacket. Putting on a winter coat and boots now add a little extra effort to the trip.
