The warm winter had started to feel a little unnatural. Our daytime temperatures were in the forties during the day and rarely going below twenty at night. While easy on the firewood supply it simply did not feel like winter in Maine. All of that has changed at least for the time being. We had snow on Thursday; not a lot but six or so inches followed by freezing rain on Friday that made travelling to Portland with Argy an adventure.
We are looking forward to the holiday week, both boys will be home for a few days and I am looking forward to having some time off. At the moment a white Christmas seems hard to imagine with the temperature at 50 degrees along with pleasant sunshine. We are in Maine though and all you have to do is wait a minute for it to change.
The forecast is calling for snow tonight and tomorrow with another chance on Christmas day. We are almost guaranteed if they are right. Hope that you will be enjoying a pleasant holiday and are looking forward to the New Year.
The last two days have been exquisite warm enough but not too warm. Beautiful blue skies and just enough breeze to discourage the bugs. Saturday was the Kids Fishing Event on Seven Tree Pond as always a great success. Good turnout, plenty of volunteers and fish for the kids to catch.
