I take a first aid and CPR course every other year so that I am always certified part of my commitment to provide safe trips for clients. My final class for this year was last evening. When I left the house it was snowing but not amounting to much, the roads on the way in were just wet. As the evening went by we could see out the windows that the snow was starting to really come down and it has been a long time since I had to drive home in a near white out!
We have had two big rainstorms this week that have made considerable progress on melting away the snow. Temperatures are warmer to be sure but who feels warm when it is blowing a gale, raining steadily and foggy? The good news is that as the snow and ice gradually retreat we are closer every day to launching the Lund and learning what this springs fishing will be like.
Over the years I have often written about how much snow we get here in Union from any particular storm. Watching the 
traffic that comes to Maine Outdoors to view those pages there is definitely an interest in that information. There are resources available online that I think would be a little more useful than my best guess about the amount of snow we got.
